Epilepsy Alliance America proudly participated in the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) 2026 Conference held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month. The conference brought together school nurses from across the country to learn, share best practices, and strengthen the health and safety of students nationwide.

As an exhibitor, Epilepsy Alliance America hosted a booth in the conference exhibit hall, providing resources and information on seizure recognition and response, seizure action plans, and educational tools designed to support students with epilepsy in the school setting. The conference featured sessions related to epilepsy and seizure management, including a presentation led by school nurse and epilepsy advocate Jason Raether. A highlight of the conference was the opportunity to connect directly with school nurses who play a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of students with epilepsy every day. Through conversations at the exhibit booth and conference networking events, Epilepsy Alliance America shared its training programs, educational resources, and advocacy initiatives aimed at creating safer and more inclusive school environments.

Epilepsy Alliance America was represented by Executive Director, Lisa Gallipoli; Board member, Amanda Mitchell, who serves as the Executive Director of founding member organization, Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana, and Julie Lazzara, PhD, co-founder of Landon’s Legacy Foundation, a new member organization of the Alliance.
