Epilepsy Alliance America Sponsored Families

Epilepsy Alliance America, and some of our member organizations, has had the opportunity to provide financial support for selected families to attend past events.

Melanie and Rosie were selected by Epilepsy Alliance America to attend Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland in November, 2025. Melanie shares the story of her daughter's epilepsy journey and the impact of attending the event.

The Dildine Family was selected by Epilepsy Alliance America to attend Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland in November, 2024. Hear them share the story of their daughter's epilepsy journey and their family's commitment to raising epilepsy awareness.

Luana describes her experience as a caregiver to her young son with epilepsy and how it felt to be selected as one of Epilepsy Alliance America's sponsored families to attend Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland in November, 2024.

Trisha Jamison and her sons, Owen and Everett, attended the Epilepsy Awareness & Education Expo and Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland in November, 2023 as the guests of Epilepsy Alliance America. The Jamisons were nominated for this opportunity by Erika Fleck, Epilepsy Alliance America Board Member, and staff leader of Epilepsy Advocacy Network, a member organization of Epilepsy Alliance America.


In 2022, Epilepsy Alliance America sponsored Lori Keeney and her heroic son, Gavin, from Oklahoma, to attend Epilepsy Awareness Day.

Costs

There is no registration fee to attend the Epilepsy Awareness and Education Expo. You and your family members will have direct access to hundreds of health care providers from epilepsy centers across the country as well as vendors from pharmaceutical companies, non-profit organizations, hospitals and devices.

Individuals who want to attend Epilepsy Awareness Day at the Park need to purchase tickets. (A small discount is provided through the registration process).

There are additional costs related to travel, parking, accommodations and refreshments for attendees.

Epilepsy Alliance America will be providing travel stipends for up to 3 families to attend the 2026 Florida event, and up to 2 families to attend the 2026 California event.

The application process for the April, 2026 event closes on January 31, 2026.
The application process for the November, 2026 event will open in Spring, 2026.
