Epilepsy affects 3.4 million Americans, yet significant gaps remain in research funding, awareness, and access to optimal care. The article discusses the momentum behind a National Plan for Epilepsy and why coordinated action can help improve outcomes for patients and families nationwide.
Special thanks to our Board members – Amanda Mitchell, MPH, LCCE and Joyce Bender – for their work on this!
Epilepsy Alliance America is proud to be part of the collaborative behind this effort with partners: CURE Epilepsy, American Epilepsy Society, Epilepsies Action Network, Epilepsy Foundation, National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC), Rare Epilepsy Network (REN), International League for Epilepsy, and The Epilepsy Leadership Council.
