For more than 60 years, Epilepsy Association Central Florida has been a trusted source of support, education, advocacy, and direct services for individuals and families affected by epilepsy throughout Central Florida. Their longstanding commitment to improving the lives of people living with epilepsy aligns closely with Epilepsy Alliance America’s mission of strengthening communities through collaboration, advocacy, education, and direct support services.
"As a national collaborative built on the strength of local organizations, we are thrilled to welcome Epilepsy Association Central Florida to our growing network," said Lisa Gallipoli, Executive Director of Epilepsy Alliance America. "Their deep roots in the community, dedication to serving individuals and families affected by epilepsy, and commitment to innovative programming make them an outstanding addition to Epilepsy Alliance America."
By joining Epilepsy Alliance America, Epilepsy Association Central Florida becomes part of a national collaborative of community-based epilepsy organizations working together to expand access to resources, share best practices, strengthen advocacy efforts, and improve outcomes for people living with epilepsy across the United States. Through membership, the organization will have opportunities to collaborate with fellow member organizations on education initiatives, public policy advocacy, professional development, training programs, and national awareness campaigns that elevate the voices and needs of the epilepsy community.
Epilepsy Association Central Florida is also a valued partner of Epilepsy Awareness Day at Walt Disney World®, managed by founding member organization, Epilepsy Alliance Florida. The inaugural event, held in April, 2026, brought together thousands of individuals with epilepsy, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and community organizations from across the country in Orlando, Florida for a weekend of education, connection, and inspiration.
The addition of Epilepsy Association Central Florida represents another important step in Epilepsy Alliance America’s continued growth. We look forward to working together to strengthen services, advance advocacy, and create a future where all people affected by epilepsy can live their fullest lives.
