Epilepsy Alliance America’s Board of Directors met in September, 2024 and approved the officer slate for 2025.  The terms for the officers take effect on January 1, 2025.

Peggy Beem Jelley ended her two-year term as Board Chair on December 31, 2024. Peggy will remain on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chair.

Under Peggy's leadership as Board Chair, Epilepsy Alliance America celebrated several milestone events.  The organization received a CDC Cooperative grant. Started in September 2023 and ending in September 2028, Epilepsy Alliance America is managing a Learning Collaborative for other CDC Component 1 grantees to identify best practices for health care providers / epilepsy centers to use to systematically encourage individuals to participate in self-management programs.  In March, 2024, Epilepsy Alliance America held its first Member Organization meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The Board of Directors embarked on a formal Strategic Planning process in October, 2024.

Liza Gundell and Peggy Beem Jelley will be joined on the Executive Committee in 2025 by returning members, Karen Egozi (Treasurer) and Kathy Schrag (Vice Chair). Newly elected to the Executive Committee is Caitlin Bernard-Vincent.

Jeff Sinsebox, who served as Board Chair from 2020 - 2022, will remain on the Board but no longer serve on the Executive Committee.
