Jeff Sinsebox
New York - Immediate Past Chair
Jeff Sinsebox is the President and CEO of Empowering People’s Independence (EPI) which provides a wide array of services to people with brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and epilepsy across the Finger Lakes, Central, and Southern Tier regions of New York State. Under Jeff’s leadership, EPI had grown its operating budget from $4.5 million in 2005 when Jeff was tapped to become CEO to more than $24 million through mergers and thoughtful program expansion. Jeff’s personal life and early career experiences shape the leader that he is today. Growing up with a sister with epilepsy and beginning his career as a direct support professional taught him the value of tailoring the supports to the person, being thoughtful with resources, and the importance of living a life of one’s own choosing. These core values permeate EPI; resulting in a large expansion of self-directed services, helping people transition from state-run developmental institutions into integrated community settings and achieving accreditation from the Council on Quality and Leadership during Jeff’s tenure as CEO. Jeff is active in the Rush-Henrietta Rotary, and serves on the following boards: Epilepsy Alliance America (Board Chairman), Monroe Housing Collaborative, Prime Care Coordination, iCircle, and Council of Agency Executives. He holds a Masters in Communication from SUNY Brockport.
