Sharing Solutions Epilepsy Alliance America

Sharing Solutions this November

November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. This November, we are highlighting the solutions that our network provides to people with epilepsy every day. Our member organizations are always sharing solutions with one other - working collaboratively and boldly to advance the mission and vision of Epilepsy Alliance America.

Sharing Solutions: Connection

Our member organizations provide connection points for people with epilepsy and their care partners so they know they are not alone.

Whether it's a camp in Upstate New York, a boat ride on the rivers of Pittsburgh, or a Couples Retreat in New Jersey, our member organizations are providing meaningful opportunities to connect. These experiences remind people with epilepsy that they are not on this journey alone. Check our calendar for upcoming events.

Sharing Solutions: Advocacy

The federal government is currently shut down, and we recognize the very real effects this may be having across our community - from patients and families facing disruptions in essential services, to researchers whose grants are on hold, and clinicians navigating new challenges in care delivery. Our thoughts are with everyone feeling these impacts. We remain hopeful that a resolution will be reached soon.

In the meantime, our shared work to advance and pass the National Plan for Epilepsy continues — because progress for our community cannot wait.

Sharing Solutions: Seizure Safety

Providing Seizure Recognition and Response training is a critical step in promoting seizure safety. Training family members, school personnel, law enforcement officers and college campus communities helps ensure that people who experience seizures receive the assistance they need.

We also provide seizure safety information for the following:

  • Travel
  • Holiday Season
