Epilepsy Alliance America unveiled our new mission, vision and purpose statements on March 19, 2025. These new statements reflect Epilepsy Alliance America's, and our member organizations', continued commitment to serving and supporting the epilepsy community, both nationally and locally.

Second Annual Member Organization Meeting  

Passionate advocates for people with epilepsy gathered in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the Second Annual Member Organization Meeting in March, 2025. Thirteen of the member organizations were represented for two days of learning, sharing and celebrating. Learn more about how these advocates are making an impact for people with epilepsy.

 
Lorna Myers Scholarship Fund Application Deadline April 30

Lorna Myers PNES Scholarship Program  

The deadline is quickly approaching. Applications are NOW being accepted for the 2025-2026 school year. Since taking over the management of this one-of-a-kind program in 2022, Epilepsy Alliance America has provided support to 42 students in 22 states.

CDC Epilepsy Program is in Jeopardy

EPILEPSY is not a red issue or a blue issue.  It is a PURPLE Issue.

Learn more about the sweeping government budget cuts and what they mean for epilepsy.  

The future of the CDC Epilepsy Program is unclear. These staff reductions will halt progress in preventing, treating and managing epilepsy.

If you have not already, please take action today and let your members of Congress know that you want them to stand up for the 3.4 million Americans living with epilepsy.

Epilepsy Alliance America table at Purple Day

Epilepsy Alliance America joined our three Florida-based member organizations at Purple Day at Disney World on March 8. It was a great day for education and connection for people impacted by epilepsy. 

 
Senator Cory Booker

U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) introduced legislation that would create a grant program to support students who have epilepsy or a seizure disorder. The Seizure Awareness and Preparedness Act would authorize funding to ensure all students nationwide are surrounded by trained and prepared individuals in the event of a seizure.
