September is for Students    

Epilepsy Alliance America and our member organizations are committed to students with epilepsy. We provide trainings, tools, resources and information that improves the safety of students of all ages who experience seizures.  

On-Demand Training Milestone Moment

Teachers, administrators, aides and other school personnel across the country were getting ready for the new school year in August when more than 58,000 school personnel completed our On-Demand Seizure Recognition and Response Training. To date, our training has been completed by individuals in 48 states. The training is available in both English and Spanish. Make sure YOUR school is trained. Share the training with them today.

Celebrating South Carolina's Seizure Safe School Act 

In May 2024, South Carolina passed the Seizure Safe School Act, effective July 1, 2025. Representatives from Epilepsy Alliance America member organization, South Carolina Advocates for Epilepsy, and others, were at the ceremonial signing at the State House last week to commemorate this important milestone for epilepsy families in South Carolina.

Seizure First Aid Posters, available in English and Spanish for the workplace and for schools, are available to download and print.

Additional versions are available at SeizureActionPlans.org. 

We have Video Demonstrations in English and Spanish to show the administration of the rescue medications your doctor may prescribe as part of your Seizure Action Plan.
