Empowering Every Journey     

Empowering Every Journey is our theme for November, Epilepsy Awareness Month. Through programs and services, education and resources, and local and national advocacy efforts, Epilepsy Alliance America and our member organizations empower people living with epilepsy and those who care for them, so that no one walks this journey alone. Join us as we raise awareness, share useful tools, provide opportunities for connection and support, and deliver education that makes all of our communities safer for those living with epilepsy.

Every epilepsy journey is unique.

Seizure First Aid Training: English and Spanish

This November, we want to ensure everyone is prepared to respond to seizures and help everyone with epilepsy stay safe! 

Our trainers are experts in seizure management and will be available for questions and answers after the training sessions. Kelly Conner, PhD, PA-C, is an  assistant professor of PA Studies at Wake Forest School of Medicine and Epilepsy Alliance America National Professional Advisory Committee member, and Dr. Giancarlo Lugo is a pediatric neurologist at member organization, Valley Children's Healthcare.

Support Group Meeting: November 7

Our support group for people with epilepsy and caregivers will hold its second meeting on Thursday, November 7. Join us for an opportunity to connect with your peers from across the country as we empower every journey in November and throughout the year. 

Epilepsy Awareness at Disneyland 

Epilepsy Alliance America is a proud National Partner of Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland, hosted by Sofie's Journey. Epilepsy Alliance America and our member organizations will host more than 80 individuals at the three-day event. If you are attending this event, stop by the Epilepsy Alliance America booth and say "Hello!"  

For the second year in a row, Epilepsy Alliance America is hosting the Dance Party at Epilepsy Awareness Day. This event is an opportunity for our community to connect and unwind. Bring your dancing shoes!  Special thanks to our partners for this event: The Danny Did Foundation, Epilepsy Support Network of Orange County and Sofie's Journey.
